Lifting Requirements
1. Handles (2) for lifting shall be mounted on all gages weighing less than 50 pounds.
2. We will provide provisions for eyebolts (METRIC threaded holes) at the
four corners of check fixtures heavier than 50 pounds. To be identified and rated for load.
3.Eyebolts must have the load capacity to lift maximum weight of fixture plus 25%.
Eyebolt size shall be determined by maximum load of eyebolts at a 60 degree pull.
The use of 12mm threaded eyebolts is recommended for small to medium fixtures as
long as they conform to load capacity requirements.
4.The eyebolt size shall be stamped near the threaded hole on the base.
5.Fixtures with a dimension of 3 feet (.9 M) on a side or greater require two forklift
pockets (size determined at design with plant input)
6.The total weight of the completed check fixture must be permanently identified on the
check fixture. Stamp weight in pounds and kilograms on identification tag or on base.
