The gauge-construction must be coordinated to the specimen-characteristic. Especially the condition
(geometry, deviation, material thickness, natural strain) of the specimen has to be allowed for
construction. The proper weight and the balance point should be used to position the specimen. Potential
exceptions will be published by quality planner.
All tuning surfaces must be built with a 3 or 5 mm gauge gap (agreement with planner). The gauge gap
does not represent the tolerance for the specimen. The maximum and minimum measurements are
checked using feeler gauges or thickness gauges. The reference for “GG” production is always the nominal size.
